I’m coming back

From the place that she sent me

When I didn’t know my worth

Teeter at the tip

Wait for the wind to help me fly

I was alone, still am

Break my walls down, help me feel

I’ve been gone for far too long

I carve a pit, you carve yourself

I waver, you never looked back

But I escaped and you stayed

I know I’ll always be okay

And you build your wall, I’ll break it down

Can’t let you stay there so long

I’ve been there, I got out alive

It’s okay, you go on and cry

My shoulder can bear the weight of tears

Unload it all on me, dear

So build your wall, babe, it won’t hold me

Your pain will be gone, hold on.

I will do anything for you.
This is a cover of the AMAZING song Setting Sail, Coming Home. It's the end theme of an EPIC game called Bastion. I love the song and it's bee stuck in my head for a while so I decided to make a cover of it, hoping it would get out though I love it. It didn't leave but I decided to upload the cover to you all for some critique ^.^ all critique is appreciated but I'd like to know if it's linear in its plot. It's telling a story and I think the story may not be clear. This cover is also born from feelings I have. No need to be sensitive about the critique though XD just say it any old way you want.

Here's a link to the song so you can read as they sing. The first minute is just music. Also, the stanzas don't correspond exactly to the song. I switched it around a bit :P

Arigatou gozaimaste!! And please, no using my work unless you ask first. Don't do anything to it otherwise.

Side note-Love, if you're reading this, it's for you. Let me know you read it via email
